Because we all deserve to breathe freely

Clean air is something we’re passionate about. So we are delighted to join the movement on 20th June 2019, to promote Clean Air Day and do our bit in reducing harmful air pollutants.

Any users with our Electric Blue App or RFID Card will be able to charge their EVs FOR FREE on 20th June, as we are setting our energy tariff at zero(1). For EV drivers in Cambridge that use the Charge points in Adam and Eve car park, Arbury Court car park and Newmarket Road – a zero tariff will also apply but you need to use the Swarco App or RFID.

Clean Air Day is the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, engaging thousands of people at hundreds of events, and reaching millions more through the media.

Air pollution is one of the greatest threats to public health, with busy urban centre roads a primary source, and cause for concern. Breathing harmful pollutants affects us from our first breath until our last. Emissions from petrol and diesel vehicles have incredibly negative impacts on our health – from low birth weight and premature birth, to heart and lung diseases. Isn’t it about time we take action?

Clean Air Day is raising awareness of the importance of cleaner air across the country, and bringing people together in a variety of initiatives. From no-idling events, to walking buses, and cleaning up the air at your home, there are numerous ways to get involved.

Alex Calnan, Electric Blue’s Managing Director

is super-charged to support the movement, “Clean Air Day is a fantastic initiative to bring wider awareness to people about the importance of clean air. I hope that the conversation carries on past this one day, and encourages people to think about how they can make changes in their everyday life. After all, clean air is vital for our ongoing health, every day of the year.”

Keep an eye on our social media, where we will be sharing lots of posts throughout the day. Feel free to share with us what you are doing on the day, and join the conversation at:
